About Sam Weissman, MD
Sam Weissman, MD, is a skilled and experienced gastroenterologist located in Brighton Beach and serving the greater Brooklyn, New York, community. Dr. Weissman obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He then completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Weissman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine gastroenterology. Dr. Weissman gives each patient his focused attention, and he prides himself on delivering the best treatment available, whether it be for common complaints such as diarrhea and constipation or performing diagnostic procedures. After receiving his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Weissman worked at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. During that time, he continued his training in therapeutic endoscopy, gaining expertise in endoscopic tests, esophageal stent placement, and small bowel enteroscopy. He has been a Chief of Gastroenterology at New York Methodist Hospital for almost 20 years, as well as a Chief of Department at Interface Medical Center.
